Clinton Portis’s Injury Could End His Season

Portis has been ruled out for Week 10's action after lingering effects and headaches persisted, giving back-up Ladell Betts the starting role until he returns.
However, there is speculation that Portis's injury is severe enough that he might not be able to play for two to three weeks, which could render him a candidate for injured reserve with the Redskins already playing in a lost season, standing at 2-6.
There isn't any official word from Washington's front office, but the idea is more than just a rumor, as the same thing happened to Portis a few years ago with a shoulder injury. Betts took over for him...
