In spite of all his success in college, Bess somehow went un-drafted in the 2008 draft. This was mainly because the NFL has strong beliefs that college players don't project well when they play in fun and gun offenses.
I personally have a problem with this thinking, if it means players like Bess drop all the way out of the draft, because of the system they are in.
