... league are struggling to find stop gaps and missing pieces to their Super Bowl puzzle. One prized piece of seemingly everyone’s puzzle, is quarterback Jay Cutler. Just when the Cutler saga seemed to end, two days ago Broncos’ brass announced that Cutler will be traded.
The Vanderbilt graduate has been of hot topic the past week with seemingly half the National Football League after him. In a surprise move the Washington Redskins reportedly agreed to trade Jason Campbell to an undisclosed team for a second round pick. As of now, the trade is off the table. This agreement almost certainly hinged on the Redskins’ ability to acquire Cutler.
The Redskins are only one of six teams that have jumped out ahead in the race for the strong armed right hander. The New York Jets, Detroit Lions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Chicago Bears round out the front runners for the Pro Bowler.
