Why does it remain a topic of discussion on ESPN980?
This is a station owned, for all intents and purposes, by the Washington Redskins. If the team isn’t interested, why continue to make it a primary talking point? Throughout their format, we continue to hear about fans clamoring for the Cutler upgrade over Jason Campbell.
The 980 talking heads make pros and cons for the move—mostly cons.
If it wasn’t a serious consideration, or if 980 employees didn’t think there was a chance for it to happen, I seriously doubt it would be as consistently and fervently packaged for discussion by these employees.
