Granted the Saints have two capable running backs, but do they have someone that can be the powerhouse back that they need? They have been grooming Pierre Thomas to take control of the backfield. Now that Deuce McCalister is gone the Saints find themselves with the 14th pick in the draft and a spot at running back that has not been filled.
If the big time defensive players are off the board and the Saints haven't executed a trade on draft day then there is good chance that they will use that 14th pick on Knowshon Moreno.
Remember last time the Saints drafted a Heisman winning running back? A few years later they drafted another running back out of the S.E.C. Don't think the Saints or their fans were upset with how that draft pick turned out.
